“I am fortunate to work with some very inspiring therapists her at Brit PT Wellness Solutions. It is thanks to them and to my own experiences with injury prevention and recovery that I decided to pursue a career in physical therapy. We all bring a deep level of empathy and compassion to the patients we serve.“

MARGEE SHORE

Physical Therapist Assistant

Education and Training

  • Associate in Applied Science, Physical Therapist Assistant, Guilford Technical Community College

Hobbies

  • Having fun with my daughter and husband, taking care of our dog, hiking, camping and doing lots of yoga!

I have always been an active person, first dancing when I was young, then running and working out for many, many years. I found that yoga helped me recover from repetitive stress injuries — lots of them! I fell in love with the physical benefits of yoga as well as yoga’s ability to help me manage the ups and downs of life. After having a job that required long hours at the computer, I began to teach fitness classes and became a yoga instructor to further incorporate exercise, movement, and wellness in my life. In addition to being a PTA, I am currently a spinning instructor and yoga teacher.

“I believe wellness is a lifestyle including movement, nutrition, some type of stress reduction practice such as meditation, and a group of awesome friends.”

I love that we care for the whole person. I love that we listen, truly listen and from that we are better able to help a patient throughout their healing process no matter how long it takes. Their care doesn't stop after a few visits, they are always welcome to come back for what we call "tune ups".  I love that we are a group of women who lift each other up always.

Sheila has been treating patients for nine years and has a special interest in treating patient with neck and back pain

“I love working with a group of people that recognize each patient is different and to maximize a person’s potential toward wellness; we have to be open to exploring the many methods and modalities available to us.”

Hobbies

I mostly enjoy taking care of myself through the practices of yoga and exercising at the gym so that I can learn through personal experience methods to teach others  to help care for themselves. I enjoy reading inspirational books and sharing the wisdom that I learn from them. I came to the practice of yoga through my personal experience of back problems, so I can relate to the challenge of pain.
